  • Its Saint Louis University’s men soccer team has won a total of 10 national championships.
  • There is at least one St. Louisian in every US team in World Cup History.
  • The National Soccer Hall of Fame features 29 St. Louisians.

Corkball

St Louis CorkballThis classic ball game that originated in this city is a mini-baseball game that uses a 1.6 ounce ball and a small bat. It is similar to baseball except it does not involve base-running. It was considered a street game in the 1900s until servicemen from St. Louis introduced it to fellow servicemen during the Korean War and World War II.
